So it is the spring of 2018 and boat prep has started. So far one coat of wax on the glass. I hope to get a second on before she is launched this year.
This is my TO DO List.
- Cooling system has a small leak..need to find it
- rigging to be inspected while the mast is stepped
- Mount and wire a 6, 2, 440 M. ham antenna on the top of the mast
So the list is not that long.
We are looking at adding additional refrigeration to Dragonfly this year. So looking in to a couple of portable freezers. The cost is a little high for what we will use them for on the bay, basically on our two week vacation, but will come in handy if or better yet when we start cruising. lol
With the addition of the new freezer we will need additional power and I am looking at a couple of 100 w flexible solar panels on Amazon. At 170 each that should give us enough power to sit at anchorage for an unlimited amount of time without running the engine
Well off to the boat yard.
